Horn player W. Peter Kurau will perform at Tennessee Tech University’s Wattenbarger Auditorium in the Bryan Fine Arts Building at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25.
Kurau is the professor of horn and chamber music at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. He will perform with TTU pianist Paul Thurmond and horn professor Jeremy Hansen.
His visit is sponsored by TTU’s Center Stage, and he will give a master class with students earlier in the day.
The concert is free and open to the public.
Kurau has performed with a variety of ensembles, including the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, the Rochester Philharmonic, Eastman Brass and the Antari Wind Quintet. He offered master classes around the world.
He received his education at Eastman School of Music, Royal College of Music, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, the University of Connecticut and Florida State University.
