Jackson County’s Martin receives award from TTU

Joshua D. Martin of Gainesboro, Tenn., was recently honored by Tennessee Tech University’s College of Arts and Sciences.

Martin, son of Vanessa and Ronnie Martin, received the Charles Denson Daniel Memorial Scholarship from TTU’s English department. He is a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Sigma Tau Delta, ASG and Alpha Mu Gamma. He also received the 2009 William Jenkins Creative Writing Scholarship. A junior English and Spanish major, Martin is a 2007 graduate of Jackson County High School.
