The Knoxville Brass WorX Company will join members of TTU’s Brass Arts Quintet to open the concert with Renaissance piece “Sonata Piano e Forte” by Italian composer Giovanni Gabrieli, conducted by TTU director of bands Joseph Hermann.

The Knoxville company musicians are current or former members of symphonies and ensembles around the state and nation, including the Chattanooga and Oak Ridge Symphonies, the Las Vegas Music Festival Chamber Orchestra and the New World Symphony. Its members are trumpeters Joel Tillman and Sarah Fellenbaum, hornist Robert Owen, trombonist Sam Chen and tubist Sean Greene.
