Lincoln County’s Powelson receives award from TTU

Rachel Powelson of Fayetteville was recently honored by Tennessee Tech University’s College of Arts and Sciences.

Powelson, daughter of Connie and Bill Powelson of Taft, received the Foreign Languages Faculty and Alumni Scholarship for the upcoming year. She is a sophomore Spanish major who plans to teach and pursue a master’s degree. Powelson is a 2008 graduate of Lincoln County High School.
