Macon County students receive engineering scholarships

Hailey Daniel White, a student at Tennessee Tech University from Lafayette, Tenn., has been awarded the William David Robinson Scholarship.

White, a freshman chemical engineering major at Tech, was awarded for her academic excellence. A 2010 graduate of Macon County High School, is the daughter of Gary and Evelyn White.

Benjamin Lee Dooley, a student at Tennessee Tech University from Lafayette, Tenn., has been awarded the Albert H. Bryan Jr. Engineering Scholarship.

Dooley, a freshman engineering major at Tech, was awarded for his academic excellence. A 2010 graduate of Aaron Academy, Dooley is the son of Janis and Jim Dooley and the grandson of Micheline Sworobuk of Lafayette and Guy Dooley of Ansted, W.Va.

Kenton Donell Curtis, a student at Tennessee Tech University from Lafayette, Tenn., has been awarded the Albert H. Bryan Jr. Engineering Scholarship.

Curtis, a freshman computer engineering major at Tech, was awarded for his academic excellence. A 2010 graduate Macon County High School, Curtis is the son of Marty and Debbie Curtis.
