Mark Greenwood, the director of custodial/ground services, went to the city dump to retrieve some signs that had inadvertently been thrown away.

“Mark went above and beyond his duties in trying to help me locate and retrieve signs taken from my office and erroneously thrown away,” said Dylcia Cowan of the Office of Admissions. “Once he found out how important they were to me and the [Susan G. Komen] Race, he scrambled his office to locate them on campus to no avail.

“He then took it upon himself to go to the city dump to search there,” Cowan continued. “All of this on a cold, freezing, rainy day.”

Greenwood has been with the university since June 2008.
