Mathis is TTU's Ambassador of the Month for May

Tennessee Technological University awarded its Ambassador of the Month honor to custodian Carolyn Mathis because Mathis knows it's often the little things that count.

Says Carolyn Brown, secretary in the Department of Mechanical Engineering who nominated Mathis for the award, "I have been impressed with Ms. Mathis since I first became aware of the 'person.' You see, I had benefited daily from her work, but had never met her. For quite a long time, Carolyn was the only night custodian assigned to Brown Hall. She has consistently paid attention to little details that make our working conditions pleasant - right down to leaving fragrant candles in the main offices!"
