Metals and jewelry by Sarah Hood on display through Oct. 20 at Craft Center

An exhibition of jewelry and metals by Sarah Hood titled “Small World: Constructed Landscapes” will be on display through Oct. 20 in the North Windows Gallery of Tennessee Tech University’s Appalachian Center for Craft.

Hood’s work embraces the impermanence of the natural world by transforming decay into beauty, lyricism and fragility into strength of purpose.

Rather than lamenting the transient nature of life, her jewelry celebrates it.
Hood received a bachelor of fine arts degree from the University of Washington. Her work has been exhibited across the United States.

The Craft Center, a satellite campus of TTU, is located approximately six miles from Interstate 40 at Exit 273 (Smithville/McMinnville). Go south on Highway 56, and turn left immediately after crossing Hurricane Bridge. This drive leads to the Craft Center.
