MLK Magnet graduate Johnson receives award from TTU

Aubree L. Johnson of Nashville, Tenn., was recently honored by Tennessee Tech University’s College of Arts and Sciences. Slhe received the Pennebaker Award from TTU’s biology department.

Johnson, daughter of Billy Johnson and Alison Cook, is a graduate student in biology at TTU. The 2005 M.L. King Magnet School graduate is certified as a K-8 teacher.

She received her undergraduate degree from Tennessee Tech in May 2009, earning the W.A. Howard Award for a 4.0 grade point average. She is a member of TTU’s Wildlife Society, Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society, National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Southeaster Wildlife Society Conclave.
