Dozens of clarinetists from the Upper Cumberland will come together for a day of rehearsals and a performance on Saturday, Jan. 21, at Tennessee Tech University.

The event, which culminates in a 3 p.m. recital in Wattenbarger Auditorium, brings TTU students and faculty together with musicians of all ages from the community. An American freelance clarinetist living in Belgium, Kevin Clasen, will perform as a guest soloist.

The ensemble, led by TTU clarinet professor Wonkak Kim, will perform works by Bach, Dvorak, Borodin and Beethoven, among others.

Onks Woodwind Specialist, of Smyrna, will provide complimentary repair services for participating clarinetists.

The performance is free and open to the public.
