'Outlook’ seminar for small businesses set

The Tennessee Small Business Development Center at Tennessee Tech University will conduct a seminar entitled “Outlook 2007 for Small Business” on Nov. 7.

The seminar will use Outlook 2007 software and cover such topics as the importance of e-mail for small business, setting up a mail account in Outlook, customizing your e-mail account, fonts, signatures, adding contacts to your Outlook Address Book, using rules and filters, attachments, and folders, adding new events to the Outlook calendar, scheduling meetings and sending e-mail invitations, setting reminders, organizing your calendar with categories, customizing your calendar, sharing your Outlook calendar, tasks and notes.

The seminar will be held on Nov. 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a one-hour break for lunch from noon to 1 p.m. (A box lunch will be provided and is included in the price.)

The seminar will be held in TTU’s Johnson Hall, Room 403. The cost for the seminar is $10, which includes both morning and afternoon sessions, lunch and a detailed reference handout.

Pre-registration is required and the size of the class is limited. Participants must bring their own laptops with Outlook 2007 installed or call to reserve a computer seat for the class. Reservations may be made by calling (931) 372-3706.
