OVERTON COUNTY STUDENTS RECEIVE AWARDS FROM TTU

Two Overton County students were among those who were recently honored by Tennessee Tech University's College of Arts and Sciences.

Andrew Neff, son of Patricia and Randy Neff of Allons, received the Excellence in Criminal Justice Studies Scholarship from TTU's sociology and political science department. Neff, a junior criminal justice major, is a 2007 graduate of Livingston Academy.

Jackson Carter, son of Jimmy and Janie Carter of Livingston, received the B.F. Jones Scholarship from TTU's history department. Carter, a sophomore history major, is a 2008 graduate of Livingston Academy. He is a candidate for Overton County commissioner and a member of Livingston's Alcohol Control Board.
