‘Phantasmagoria’ exhibit at Craft Center

thumb_Kolpin_Exhibit“Phantasmagoria,” a senior thesis exhibition in metals by LeAnne Kolpin, will be featured April 27 through May 3 at Gallery One of the Appalachian Center for Craft. A reception is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Friday, April 30.

Kolpin’s installation includes a large group of elephants being taken down by a large pack of small mice. “I’m playing with the allusion of a mass – both in numbers and in size – to create a dream-like installation of elephants underestimating the power of numbers,” she said.

The Appalachian Center for Craft is located approximately six miles from Interstate 40 at Exit 273 (Smithville/McMinnville). Go south on Highway 56; turn left immediately after crossing Hurricane Bridge. This drive leads to the Craft Center.
