The Center for Small Business Excellence at Tennessee Tech University will offer free seminars to small business owners entitled “Publisher 2010 for Small Business” and “Getting Ready to go to the Bank.”

The Publisher seminar will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, in Johnson Hall 307 on TTU’s campus. The banking seminar will discuss the steps entrepreneurs need to take before approaching a bank for financing. Business planning, Small Business Administration loan guarantees and financing options are some of the topics to be covered. It will be offered from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, in Johnson Hall 411. A representative from U.S. Bank will be in attendance to answer questions and Jen Dangelo, director of the center, will lead the class.

Class sizes are limited and registration is required. To reserve a spot, call (931) 372-3648 or go to www.helpmysmallbusiness.org.
