Pulitzer Prize-winning author Michael Chabon to talk at TTU
Pulitzer Prize-winning author Michael Chabon will be at Tennessee Tech University Tuesday, Oct. 22.
Chabon is author of seven novels, two collections each of short stories and essays, one novella and one children’s book. Many of his books have gone on to become best-sellers.
His 2000 novel, “The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay,” won the Pulitzer Prize, the New York Society Library Prize for Fiction, the Bay Area Book Reviewers Award, and the Commonwealth Club Gold Medal. It was named one of the Notable Books of 2000 by the American Library Association.
“Wonder Boys” was made into a film starring Michael Douglas and Tobey Maguire.
Chabon has lectured across the United States and made appearances in Germany, Lithuania, Canada, Great Britain,Italy, France, Finland and Russia. He lives in California with his wife and fellow novelist Ayelet Waldman and their children.
His lecture will be at 6:30 p.m. in TTU’s Derryberry Hall Auditorium, 1 William L. Jones Drive. Sponsored by TTU’s Center Stage, it is free and open to the public.
