Records, business plans subjects of business seminars

The Tennessee Tech University Small Business Development Center will host two free seminars to help small business owners with issues important for success: recordkeeping and business planning.

The first seminar, “Recordkeeping for Small Business,” will be presented 4 - 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 23, at TTU’s Johnson Hall, Room 403. This seminar will show business owners how to make and use a recordkeeping system that is simple, complete, useful and organized. You don’t have to use special software or even a computer to do this important job.

The second seminar, “Writing a Successful Business Plan,” will be presented 4 - 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25, at TTU’s Johnson Hall, Room 403. The seminar will address the basics of creating and writing a successful business plan.

Although admission is free for both seminars, registration is encouraged and can be done by visiting the center's web site or calling the center’s office at (931) 372-3706.

The Tennessee Small Business Development Center is a community outreach initiative of TTU’s College of Business, and it is among a network that operates statewide to assist the small business sector by providing free counseling to potential entrepreneurs and small business owners.
