Save the Date for Bacchanal 2011

thumb_bacchanal11_save_smAt Bacchanal 2010, ACC clay students Jodie Masterman and Ryan Pate showcased the “Flatt Bottle Set” donated by Cosmic Clay Studio artists Louis and Christine Colombarini.Always a fun and exciting afternoon, Bacchanal 2011: A Celebration of Art, Wine & Food will be on Sunday, Oct. 23, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The event will be held at and hosted by Spankies Restaurant in Cookeville.

The Bacchanal, presented by the Appalachian Center for Craft and Tennessee Tech University, is a much-anticipated fall event that includes an extensive cocktail buffet, a wide array of wines and beers for tasting, live jazz, and the highlight of the event, a thrilling live auction of art and fine craft.

"Bacchanal continues to grow in popularity, and we are deeply appreciative of the continued support the community has shown for this event over the years," said Beth Smith, Bacchanal coordinator and program manager at the Appalachian Center for Craft. "Last year we had a near sell-out crowd, so it's a good idea to make your reservations early. Based on the donations already in for Bacchanal 2011, this year's auction is not to be missed."

The fine art and craft items available up for auction during the event are donated by generous local, regional, and national artists. Proceeds from the event support student scholarships and art programs at TTU and the Craft Center.

Reservations are $45 per person in advance; if not sold out, admission will be $55 at the door the day of the Bacchanal.
