Save the date for Bacchanal 2013

thumb Bacchanal_13_SavethedateA much-anticipated afternoon of art, Bacchanal 2013: A Celebration of Art, Wine & Food will be Sunday, Oct. 20, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Spankies Restaurant in Cookeville will host the event.

Bacchanal, presented by the Appalachian Center for Craft at Tennessee Tech University, is an ever-growing fall event that includes an extensive cocktail buffet, a wide array of wines and beers for tasting, live jazz and a spirited live auction of art and fine craft.

Generous local, regional and national artists donate the art and fine craft items available for auction during the event. Proceeds from the event support student scholarships and art programs at TTU and the Craft Center.

“The Bacchanal has enjoyed tremendous community support over the years, and we hope this will continue. The Craft Center strives to educate emerging artists in the traditions and future of fine craft in America, and the scholarships funded by this event are a valuable recruiting tool to attract top-notch students to our programs,“ said Jeff Adams, Craft Center director. “I encourage not only our loyal supporters, but also those who may never have attended before, to come, purchase incredible works of fine art and craft, and know that their generosity will enhance the Craft Center’s ability to continue our mission.”

Reservations are $45 per person in advance. If not sold out, admission will be $55 at the door the day of the Bacchanal.
