Second annual Web Design Conference is set for June 23

The second annual Web Design Conference for teachers of all levels of web design and others interested in the topic will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Tennessee Tech University’s Johnson Hall Auditorium on Wednesday, June 23.

This year’s keynote speaker is James Stanger, vice president of certification and product development for Prosoft Training. An accomplished web designer, network security consultant and writer, Stanger has written about those topics extensively, for clients including Symantec Education Services, IBM and Osbourne McGraw Hill.

Other conference presentations will include:

• “The Vowel Complex: Teaching Good Design Principles to Students,” presented by Bob Clougherty, director of TTU’s web design program;

• “The Faculty Training Institute,” presented by Sandy Cobb, director of instructional technology at Mid-South Community College;

• And “Using AssessPrep to Prepare Students,” presented by Dara Titus, director of market development for Prosoft Training.
