Seminar teaches Excel for small business
The Tennessee Small Business Development Center at Tennessee Tech University will conduct a two-part seminar series entitled “Excel for Small Business” from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 11, and Thursday, May 13. The series will be presented by Gwen Paul.
The seminar will use Excel 2007 software and cover a wide variety of useful topics such as formatting and editing, applying borders, copying and pasting text, formulas and more. At the end of the series, a small business owner will be able to calculate simple payroll and withholdings and keep up with sales revenue by categories, as well as be able to use the basic features of the program.
The seminar will be held in TTU’s Johnson Hall, Room 307. The cost for the seminar is $10, which includes both sessions and a detailed reference handout.
