Spring 2011 graduates announced
Nearly 1,300 graduates walked across the stage at Tennessee Tech University’s Hooper Eblen Center this spring in two ceremonies, bringing TTU’s overall graduation total to more than 70,000 since 1915.
TTU was ranked this year in U.S.News and World Report magazine’s 2007 America’s Best Colleges as a Top Public University in the South for its category and included among the Best Universities, including both private and public schools, in its category for the South.
In addition, TTU was one of only 165 schools from across the country to recently be included in The Princeton Review “America’s Best Value Colleges” guidebook. The university was also named one of America’s 100 Best College Buys by Institutional Research and Evaluation Inc.
A member of the Tennessee Board of Regents, TTU ranks first in alumni satisfaction among all other TBR universities. The university offers 44 undergraduate degree and 21 graduate degree programs, including the Ph.D. in engineering, environmental sciences and education.
The university’s newest alumni came from 32 states including Tennessee, 78 Tennessee counties and 14 other countries. They represent 41 undergraduate and 22 graduate programs. The oldest graduate was born in 1947 and the youngest in 1990.
