Transformations Conference for non-tradition student hopefuls set for April 4 at TTUvThe Non-Traditional Student Mentoring Center at Tennessee Tech University will host the annual Transformations Conference from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, in Johnson Hall.
The event is designed for adults by adult students and will feature keynote speakers and a variety of informative sessions for those seeking to learn more about higher education. Topics to be discussed include:
• Getting admitted to college
• Obtaining financial aid
• Securing scholarships
• Enrolling in classes
Lachelle Norris, associate professor of sociology, said “We hope to bring people together who may have started college and had to quit, or who completed a high school degree or GRE and would like to learn more about technology centers, community colleges and four year university degree programs.”
A pre-registration fee of $5 is required if attendees want lunch provided, but free childcare and parking will be provided.
