Trombones featured in concerts Feb. 2, 6

The Tennessee Tech Trombone Studio will present two concerts of music for trombone on Friday, Feb. 2, at 7 p.m. and on Tuesday, Feb. 6, at 7:30 p.m. in Wattenbarger Auditorium in the Bryan Fine Arts Building.

Admission is free, and the events are open to the public.

The first evening’s concert will feature selections for the annual Pops Night for Trombones, as well as transcriptions and arrangements for trombone with piano accompaniment. A similar program by TTU’s trumpet studio will follow at 8:30 p.m.

Tuesday’s concert will feature TTU’s Joshua Hauser in a faculty recital with accompaniment of Paul Thurmond on piano, Mark Smith on bass, and Eric Willie on drums.

“Both evenings should be fun for all ages,” said Hauser, “and I hope that you will be able to join us for one or both of these concerts.”
