The Tennessee Small Business Development Center at Tennessee Tech University will host a workshop, “Estate Planning Strategies for Small Business” from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. July 26 in Johnson Hall, room 401 on the TTU campus.

Every small business will eventually be sold or passed on to partners or family, but most business owners need help with the fundamentals of business transfer. The class offered by the TSBDC will discuss buy/sell agreements, asset protection and tax reduction and planning.

Licensed estate attorney and financial planner Brad Dozier will lead the class. Dozier’s firm has served business owners since the 1970s and has worked extensively with owners of closely held and family owned businesses.  At the end of the program, he will conduct a question and answer session with class participants.

Registration for the free workshop is strongly recommended.  For more information or to register, call 931/372-3648 or visit www.tsbdc.org.
