TTU alumni, students invited to state's largest engineering career fair this Thursday

More than 100 companies recruiting engineers will attend the state's largest engineering career fair this week at Tennessee Tech University.

The career fair is not just for students; recent TTU graduates are invited to the event scheduled 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday in the Roaden University Center Multipurpose Room on the second floor and the Tech Pride Room on the first floor.

"We are excited to offer alumni and students the opportunity to meet with 115 employers during this year's E-Week, when we are joining the national celebration of the profession and focusing on our goals and accomplishments," said Stephen Parke, TTU's electrical and computer engineering chairperson.

The fair is co-sponsored by TTU's Engineering Joint Council and Career Services.   Companies from across the United States will speak with students and alumni from all majors and provide information on full-time, co-op and internship opportunities with their organizations.

For a list of companies registered to attend and the majors being recruited, visit Career Services' web site at www.tntech.edu/career and follow the links beginning with "calendar."

Brad Drinnen, EJC president, encourages community alumni to take advantage of the career fair.

"We invite recent TTU graduates to stop by, even if it is a last-minute decision," said Drinnen. "There's no need to pre-register. Just stop by."
