TTU Announces Homecoming Queen, Court

(COOKEVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 27, 1996) -- Takako Marquinta Jackson was recently elected Tennessee Technological University's Homecoming Queen for 1996. She will be crowned at half-time during the Golden Eagles' game against UT-Martin Saturday, Oct. 5. Kickoff is at 2 p.m.

Jackson, a senior elementary education major, is the daughter of Dorothy and John Jackson of Nashville. She is sponsored by the Residence Hall Association.

The Homecoming court consists of the next four highest vote-getters: Jennifer Pearl Sprik, LaNada Cherlyne Harding, Micah Rhea Long and Tiffany LeAnn Christopher.

Sprik is a psychology graduate student and the daughter of Ray and Carol Sprik of Crossville. She is sponsored by Campus Crusade for Christ.

Harding, a junior pre-medical student, is the daughter of Frederick and Juanita Harding of Spencer and is sponsored by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Long is the daughter of Terry and Connie Gibson of Knoxville. She is a senior elementary education major and is sponsored by Pi Kappa Alpha.

Christopher, a senior elementary education major, is the daughter of Terry and Lynn Christopher of Crossville. She is sponsored by Alpha Delta Pi.
