TTU Announces New Appointments for Binkley, HullTennessee Technological University recently announced the appointment of Glenn Binkley as the university's new assistant director of facilities and business services.
Binkley, former director of the university's business services, will lead work on a new university master plan - an assessment of what repairs and improvements need to be made to university facilities to answer current and future needs.
"We keyed in on Glenn for this responsibility because of his eye for detail and his great communication skills with the departments - and this is going to be a detail-oriented task that requires great communication," said Mike Nivens, Tennessee Tech's director of facilities and business services.
Stepping up to Binkley's former position is Judy Hull, a former assistant purchasing agent, who was appointed interim director of business services.
"Judy was a natural to replace him," said Nivens. "She knows the job inside and out, she does excellent work and she's very astute. She'll free him from purchasing responsibilities to take on the new master plan."
Terry Rector, Tennessee Tech's vice president for business and fiscal affairs, said a well-developed master plan will move the university in the right direction to address academic needs, space needs and infrastructure improvements."The Tennessee Board of Regents asks us to forecast our needs in five-year increments, simply so that we know ahead of time where we want to be," said Rector.
