TTU announces winners of 2004 B. F. Jones Endowed History Scholarship

Presenting the 2004 B.F. Jones Endowed History Scholarship are, left, Elizabeth Jones, daughter of the late former history chairperson, and, far right, Jean B. Jones, his widow, and Jeffery J. Roberts, history chairperson. This year’s recipients are, center, from left, Amy Forrest and Scot W. Oldham. The award is given to the student or students who submit the best history paper. All students who submit a paper are considered applicants. Forrest is a senior history and secondary education major from Hardin County who is also a member of the Spanish Club, Student Alumni Ambassadors, TTU College Democrats, History Club and the President’s Ambassadors. Oldham, a junior history major from Cookeville, is a member of Phi Alpha Theta and the History Club. He is also a student representative on the College of Arts and Sciences Curriculum committee.
