TTU Appalachian Center for Craft hosts one-day workshops

thumb JoshThe Appalachian Center for Craft at Tennessee Tech University will host a series of one-day workshops this spring.

The workshops cost $75 each and will be taught by Center for Craft artists in residence. The fee includes lunch and all materials.

Andrew Meers will teach blacksmithing, Bryce Brisco teaches wheelthrowing and Josh Hershman will teach glass marbles. Ellie Richards will teach attendees to make bandsaw boxes and Amanda Ross will teach about fiber dyes.

The workshops will be from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 15.

The Center for Craft is free and open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is approximately six miles off Interstate 40 at exit 273, Smithville/McMinnville. Go south on state Route 56 and turn left immediately after crossing Hurricane Bridge. This drive leads to the Center.
