TTU arts roundup for Feb. 2: TTU hosts Triton Brass performances
Triton Bass, a Boston-based brass musical collaborative comprising five of the region's most promising young talents, is set to perform two extraordinary concerts at Tennessee Tech University.
The first performance will be 7:30 p.m. Friday and features new and established works for the quintet. At 7:30 p.m. on Saturday they will perform with the TTU Brass Arts Quintet. Originating from all corners of the United States, the members of the Triton Brass have combined their talents into a dynamic and versatile ensemble.
Triton is in its second year as artists-in-residence at The Boston Conservatory, where the group serves as both performers and instructors. The group’s members are New England-area freelance musicians who perform in a wide variety of settings in and around Boston. Members of Triton Brass have performed with the Boston Symphony, The Boston Pops, Boston Philharmonic, and in orchestra pits for several Broadway shows.
