TTU arts roundup for Jan. 19: Gabriel Langfur to perform
Bass trombonist Gabriel Langfur of the Rhode Island Philharmonic and Vermont Symphony orchestras performs at Tennessee Tech University 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 28. Langfur’s performance is a Center Stage event and is free and open to the public.
The performance will be held at TTU’s Wattenbarger Auditorium in the Bryan Fine Arts Building. TTU music professor Joshua Hauser will join Langfur for the second part of the performance in a selection of duets for tenor and bass trombone. The performance concludes with Trombones at Tech, the TTU Trombone Choir, joining in “Blue Topaz” for solo bass trombone and trombone ensemble by Tommy Pederson.

- Multi-Grammy Award winning fiddler and violinist-composer Mark O’Connor performs his “American String Celebration” at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb 2. Arrive early. Tickets aren’t required, but seating is limited.
