TTU business seminar covers Web presence basics

Tennessee Tech University’s Small Business Development Center will host a seminar about the basics of creating a successful Web presence Sept. 30.

Crafting a Web presence that keeps your current customers coming back and attracts new customers takes some work.

“Five Steps to a Successful Web Presence” is the title of the seminar to be presented from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 30, at the Oldham Theater in Sparta.

Led by Jen Dangelo, manager of the TSBDC Online Counseling and Training Center, the seminar will cover the five basic steps of creating and maintaining a successful Web presence: plan, design, build, market and maintain. These five steps are essential to getting your website started right and keeping it performing on the major search engines and in your customer's minds.

While the seminar is free, registration is encouraged and can be done by visiting the website at or calling the TSBDC’s office at TTU at (931) 372-3292.

The TSBDC is a community outreach initiative of TTU’s College of Business, and it is among a network that operates statewide to assist the small business sector by providing free counseling to potential entrepreneurs and small business owners.
