TTU Celebrates Black History Month with Tributes, Activities

Black History Month celebrations in February at Tennessee Technological University will be as much about the future as about history.

Drama, comedy, music and food will serve to bring the community together in celebration of this year's theme chosen by the university's Leona Lusk Officer Black Cultural Center --"A Touch of History. . .A Feel For the Future."

"With a month full of activities, we are offering everyone a chance to schedule some time for entertainment and reflection," said Tammy Reynolds, director of the Black Cultural Center. "This is a celebration of the achievement of blacks as we face an exciting future."
