TTU Craft Center's Holiday Festival is Nov. 25-27
This red glass lamp by Curtiss Brock, professor of glass, and this red and yellow wooden clock by Craft Center artist Kimberly Winkle are examples of the kind of work that will be available at this year’s annual Holiday Festival at the Appalachian Center for Craft, a satellite campus of Tennessee Tech University. The event is set for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday following Thanksgiving, Nov. 25-27. In addition to a relaxing holiday shopping experience, the festival will feature daily craft demonstrations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., live acoustic music by guitarist Jim Olsen and tasty treats from the walkway café from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. The “meet the artist” event with exhibiter Lisa Klakulak has been cancelled, and several changes have been made to the demonstration schedule. There will be no weaving demonstration on Friday, but a felting demonstration has been added for Sunday and blacksmithing demonstrations will be presented each day of the festival.
