TTU to host Tennessee Business Taxes Seminar Aug. 28
The accounting department at Tennessee Tech University will host the Tennessee Business Taxes Seminar on Tuesday, Aug. 28, in the Tech Pride room of the Roaden University Center.
R. Dan Fesler, professor and chairman of the TTU accounting department, said Tennessee Department of Revenue officials will lead discussions on sales and use taxes, business taxes, franchise and excise taxes, individual income taxes, tangible personal property taxes and unemployment taxes.
The seminar satisfies eight hours of Tennessee State Board of Accountancy continuing education credit and is suitable for professional accounting practitioners, business owners and anyone desiring more knowledge about Tennessee taxes.
On-site registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. The seminar is from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
The early registration fee is $145 for those who register by Tuesday, Aug. 21. The registration fee after Aug. 21 is $155. The registration fee includes program materials, breakfast, lunch and snacks. Net proceeds will fund scholarships at Tennessee Tech.
