TTU named a “military friendly” university
Once again, Tennessee Tech University has made the list of universities that are the most welcoming to the country’s veterans.
For the second year in a row, TTU will be included in the Military Friendly Schools list compiled by Victory Media Inc.
The list was compiled from a survey of more than 12,000 schools across the nation. Fewer than 2,000 schools are included in the list, which can be found at www.militaryfriendlyschools.com.
The TTU Counseling Center offers a support group for student veterans who are adjusting to campus life. The center has hosted the Mobile Vet Center on campus. A service of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the Mobile Vet Center offers counseling in various areas, from benefits assistance and employment guidance to marital and family and bereavement counseling.
