Students earn the academic distinction by completing a full course load with a quality point average of 3.1 or better on the university’s 4.0 scale.
TTU is no stranger to high ratings. U.S.News and World Report magazine’s 2007 America’s Best Colleges ranked TTU as a Top Public University in the South for its category and included it among the Best Universities, including both public and private schools, in its category for the South.
In addition, TTU was one of only 165 schools from across the country to recently be included in The Princeton Review “America’s Best Value Colleges” guidebook. The university was also named one of America’s 100 Best College Buys by Institutional Research and Evaluation Inc.
A member of the Tennessee Board of Regents, TTU ranks first in alumni satisfaction among all other TBR universities. The university offers 44 undergraduate degree and 21 graduate degree programs, including the Ph.D. in engineering, environmental sciences and education.
