TTU to present Valentine's Day faculty voice recital

Celebrate Valentine’s day at Tennessee Tech University, when Frederick Kennedy presents a faculty tenor voice recital at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 14, in the Wattenbarger Auditorium of the Bryan Fine Arts Building.

Works to be performed include compositions by Vaughn Williams, Richard Strauss and Jules Massenet.

Kennedy will be accompanied by Henri Venanzi on piano, and performances of the Vaughn Williams compositions will include accompaniment by faculty violist Seanad Chang.

Also included in the program will be several works by lesser known composers, such as Benjamin Carr, a 19th century American composer, and Louis Moreau Gottschalk, recognized for his piano compositions.

The recital is set to conclude with works by Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos.

The concert is free and open to the general public. For more information, call TTU’s music and art department at 931/372-3161.
