TTU welcomes international exchange students

Cookeville Mayor Sam Sallee and Tennessee Tech University President Bob Bell welcomed international exchange students to TTU's College of Business at a luncheon held in their honor.

The students hail from Belgium, France, Germany, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Netherlands, and South Korea and are from Magellan Exchange partner universities in Europe.   The students will spend one or two semesters studying at TTU.   A record number of TTU College of Business students are spending the fall semester studying in Europe.

"Participants will gain not only global knowledge, develop cultural adaptability and increase their international understanding, but also grow in maturity and self-awareness," said Bob Wood, director of TTU's MBA studies.

The Magellan Exchange offers an opportunity for students of member institutions to have an affordable educational and cultural experience in a foreign country for a semester or a full year. The experience provides full immersion in the academic and social life of the host culture.
