TTU Young Artist Piano Competition winners announcedA total of 10 high school pianists from Tennessee schools competed in the Oct. 9 Tennessee Tech University Young Artist Piano Competition.
The contest, now in its third year, attracts gifted high school piano players from throughout the state.

Adjudicator Jackson Henry, a former student of Herman and Catherine Godes, had a difficult decision to make in selecting the two winners.
The winner of the $1,000 Herman Godes Award was Kevin Wang of Nashville, a student of Roland Schneller at the Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University. The winner of the $500 SK Ballal Award was Joshua Davis of Cookeville, a student of Catherine Godes.
