TTU’s annual Bacchanal less than one month away

Bacchanal 2013: A Celebration of Art, Wine and Food, the annual fundraiser for scholarships and programs at the Appalachian Center for Craft at Tennessee Tech University, will be Sunday, Oct. 20.

The event is from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Spankies Restaurant in Cookeville. It will include music by classical guitarist Zebulon Turrentine, an extensive buffet and cocktails, and a live auction of art and fine craft created and donated by area artists and Craft Center faculty.

“The Bacchanal is an event that is supported by so many people,” said Jeff Adams, Craft Center director. “It is possible only through the generous contributions of businesses and individuals throughout our community as well as local and regional artists.”

“The scholarship and programming opportunities we are able to offer our students as a result of this support are unparalleled,” Adams said.

The event’s platinum underwriters are Derek and Diana Baranowski, Swallows-Newman Insurance. Underwriters are Budweiser of Cookeville, Horizon Wine and Spirits, Spankies Restaurant and Advanced Cleaning Service. Patrons are Cravens & Co. Wealth Management; Wimberly Lawson Write Daves & Jones PLLC; and Payless Family Pharmacy.
