Ready, set, bid! Bacchanal 2013: A Celebration of Art, Wine & Food will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, at Spankies Restaurant in Cookeville. The popular annual event supports scholarships and programs for art students at Tennessee Tech University and the Appalachian Center for Craft at TTU.
Guests will be entertained by the acoustic guitar stylings of Zebulon Turrentine as they indulge on the extensive cocktail buffet, taste a variety of wines and specialty beers, and browse the selection of art and fine craft available during the live auction.
Reservations are $45 per person until Friday, Oct. 18, and $55 at the door. Guests will receive complimentary valet parking and commemorative wine and beer glasses.
“We have a truly wonderful selection of artwork this year including glass and ceramic vessels, paintings and handcrafted furniture,” said Lindsey Maestri, exhibitions and programs manager at the Appalachian Center for Craft. “We want to thank not only the artists who donated artwork, but also our generous platinum underwriters, Derek and Diana Baranowski and Swallows-Newman Insurance Agency, as well as our underwriters, Chris and Regina Tapper, Budweiser of Cookeville, Horizon Wine and Spirits, Spankies Restaurant and Advance Cleaning Service.”
