TTU's choral ensemble will present concert on Feb. 25

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 21, 2005) – Tennessee Tech University’s choral ensemble will display their talents to the home crowd in a concert at 7 p.m. in the Bryan Fine Arts Building on Friday, Feb. 25.

Pieces by Palestrina, Mozart, Morten Lauridsen, Johannes Brahms and Jacques Offenbach will be presented, along with a few favorite pieces by American composers.

Student Shawn Trivette will also be featured in a premiere of an a cappella piece.
The concert will be free and open to the general public.

The Chorale has been honored in the past, with tours in Germany, Mexico, Austria, England, Scotland and Wales. This past fall they performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City at the Mozart Coronation Mass with choirs from all across the United States.

It has performed for the Music Educators National Conference, Tennessee Music Educators Association and the Southern Division of the American Choral Directors Association.

The TTU Chorale has also given performances in conjunction with the University Orchestra and the Bryan Symphony Orchestra.
