TTU’s Hauser to give trombone recital Sept. 24

thumb HauserJoshua Hauser, professor of trombone at Tennessee Tech University, will give a recital at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24.

Hauser, performing on alto, tenor and bass trombone as well as euphonium, will be assisted by TTU faculty members Paul Thurmond on piano, Charles Decker and Chris McCormick on trumpets, Greg Danner on horn, and TTU student Ryan Snell on tuba.

The program will feature the “Concerto for Trombone” by Danish composer Launy Gröndahl, “Sonata in Eb” by Gottfried Finger, “Bydlo” from “Pictures at an Exhibition” by Modest Mussorgsky, “Five Pieces for Bass Trombone” by Nelson Riddle and “Variations on Annie Laurie” by Arthur Pryor.

The concert will be in TTU’s Wattenbarger Auditorium in the Bryan Fine Arts building at 1150 N. Dixie Ave. It is free and open to the public.
