TTU's Minority Affairs to pay tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Jan. 22

Tennessee Tech University’s Office of Minority Affairs will commemorate the coming Martin Luther King holiday with a celebration of his life and legacy.

The event will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22, in the Leona Lusk Officer Black Cultural Center, located on the second floor of the Roaden University Center.

It will feature a viewing of King’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech, a documentary about his life and short reflections by various TTU students about what his accomplishments have meant to them.

Light refreshments will be provided, and the event is free and open to the public.
