Please note this series has been cancelled due to illness. It will be rescheduled.

The Small Business Development Center at Tennessee Tech University will offer a seminar about social media to help small business owners incorporate different platforms into their marketing plans.

Led by Jen Dangelo, director of TTU’s TSBDC, the seminar will address how to market a small business through social networking sites like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Google+, and introduce entrepreneurs to tools and tricks to keep it manageable. This four-part series will help business owners build a list of sites, explore scheduling tools and how to use them, and learn how social media can complement a website or serve in place of one.

The series will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 16, March 2, April 6 and May 4 in TTU’s Johnson Hall 218 at 1105 N. Peachtree Ave. in Cookeville.

The seminars are free, but registration is required. Register by calling (931) 372-3648 or visiting www.helpmysmallbusiness.org.

The Tennessee Small Business Development Center is partially funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Tennessee Board of Regents and the state of Tennessee.
