TTU's Visual Arts Society sale is Nov. 29, 30 in the Derryberry Gallery

Tennessee Tech University’s Visual Arts Society will host its annual Holiday Sale in the Joan Derryberry Art Gallery from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29, and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30.

A wide variety of original, one-of-a-kind handmade works by the emerging artists of TTU will be available, including ceramic bowls, cups and platters, fine jewelry, hand-blown glass vases and bowls and much more.

“The VAS sale gives the students first-hand experience in presenting, promoting and selling their art to the public,” said Jennifer George, VAS co-president and bachelor of fine arts degree ceramics major.

“A portion of the proceeds from the sale is devoted to hosting visiting artists and assisting students in attending professional art-related conferences,” she continued. “These experiences support and enhance our educational goals as artists.”

The Derryberry Gallery is located on the first floor of the Roaden University Center.
