Two from Hamilton County receive awards from TTU

thumb Hamilton-DavisHunterTwo students from Chattanooga received awards this spring from Tennessee Tech University’s College of Arts and Sciences.

TTU sophomore Danielle Davis received the Leo McGee journalism scholarship. A journalism major, she is on the Eagle yearbook staff, a RACE mentor, a Minority Affairs Ambassador, and a member of the TTU public relations club. She was on the dean’s list last semester. A 2011 graduate of the Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences, she is the daughter of Winford and Gwendolyn Davis, of Ooltewah.

David Hunter, a junior geology major, received the earth science alumni scholarship. He has been on the dean’s list for five semesters and plans to pursue a master’s degree in hydrogeology, geomorphology or paleoclimatology after completing his degree at TTU. He is a 2010 graduate of Lookout Valley High School. His parents are Dwight and Gina Hunter.
