Two from Putnam County receive TTU scholarships

thumb AS_PutnamTennessee Tech University students Robert Case and William Sheckler are the 2012 recipients of scholarships from the College of Arts and Sciences.

Case, a 2009 graduate of Cookeville High School, is the son of Alex Case and Jennifer Case of Cookeville. He is a senior biochemistry/pre-med major and plans to attend medical school after graduating from TTU.

Sheckler, a 2010 graduate of Cookeville High School, is the son of Ted and Megan Sheckler of Monterey and is a junior journalism and communications major. He received the Thomas Weitzel Memorial Scholarship.

He is the music director of WTTU and vice president of TTU’s Puzzle Club. Sheckler plans to join the Peace Corp after graduating.
