Two from Wilson County receive awards from TTU

thumb AS-WilsonTwo students from Mount Juliet were recognized for their academic achievements with scholarships from Tennessee Tech University’s College of Arts and Sciences this spring.

Jeffrey Graves, a math graduate student, received the mathematics graduate student teaching award. He is the son of Brenda and David Graves and a 2003 graduate of Wilson Central High School. After finishing his degree at TTU, he plans to go on for a doctoral degree.

Michele Smith, a junior math major, received the Grateful Heart math scholarship. After graduation, she plans to apply to the National Security Agency’s cryptology program. A 2010 graduate of Mount Juliet High School, she is the daughter of Ken and Lisa Smith and fiancée of Charley Brown.
